I applied to various writing companies for academic (essay) writing, resume writing, SEO content, copywriting, even marketing, which, at the time, I knew nothing about. In the process, I learned that there are A LOT of scams out there for freelancing! (Maybe I’ll write a post on this later. Anyone interested)? Anyway, over the last couple of years, I’ve gained a better understanding of what it means to be a freelance writer and what I want my mission to be.
As a Resume Writer, my focus is to help job seekers create a resume that emphasizes their skills and showcases their career achievements. I was a “non-traditional” student myself. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s an adult who returns to college later in life. I was also a single parent going to school full-time and working two part-time jobs. It took me five years to reach my goal and get my Bachelor’s degree.
I still remember what it was like looking for work after graduation. I’d just received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education/Special Education with a concentration in Spanish. The future was full of hope and excitement about helping kids succeed the best way I knew how. I applied for work for over a year, and nothing turned up. Oh sure, I got the interviews, but the job offers weren’t coming in. This is why I want to concentrate on helping you fashion a resume that getd you noticed and will help you successfully land your dream job.
Copywriting is my other love. I’m always learning while I research and write posts about diverse topics. Some of the subjects include traveling tips, health and wellness, workplace management, parenting tips, science for kids, physical therapy, music, and business concepts. I generate clear, concise content, mostly social media posts, SEO articles, and blogs, and newsletters that is relevant to your industry while engaging with your audience.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, crocheting, playing games, building puzzles, and spending time with my family and friends, and photography.
I’m glad life doesn’t turn out the way you think it should because having a business has stretched me in ways I never expected; and that’s a good thing!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re interested in learning more about my services. I’m sure we’ll talk soon!
